XAMPP is just one of many stand-alone WAMP packages, there is no assertion of notability in the article, nor do I see any reason for notability myself. - sorfane 15:45, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment Does a download link make something noteable? CNET/download.com offer hundreds of downloads, I'm sure that we would not create an article on each of them. Re. the comments below, all of the Google scholar references seem very trivial. However, I have found this book [3] and perhaps it is enough to assert notability. - sorfane 11:41, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Yeah, between the book and the NetworkWorld story, I think that's just enough to show notability. --Cybercobra (talk) 17:19, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Based on the find sources links, there seems to be plenty of independent and non-trivial coverage in news articles. There seems to be some exclusive coverage in foreign language books & there is quite a few number of english books with some passing coverage. I was surprised that scholar had so many results, though many seem fairly trivial. There are articles that cite the XAMPP documentation and/or the foreign language books on the program. --Karnesky (talk) 19:20, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep A cursory search of Google books for "XAMPP" [4] turns up significant coverage in numerous published works. --Tothwolf (talk) 20:45, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Note that significant coverage is based on the depth of the coverage, not on the volume of mere cursory mentions. --Cybercobra (talk) 21:03, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep Just about everyone who's dealt with setting up a server in Linux knows about XAMPP. It is without question a very notable and important project. Nick Wilson (talk) 01:48, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
