@DexDor: Religion and politics is a well known duality and field of study as they represent two major (often conflicting) power structures in society. This fact is as true at this moment as it ever was. This is in direct contrast to the above example, which is a category simply combining two themes and including the content that meets at that topical intersection. Oppose. As the article says "There have been a wide variety of ways in which thinkers have conceived of the relationship between Christianity and politics, with many arguing that Christianity directly supports a particular political ideology or philosophy." - it seems like Christian politics (which is argued by "many") should be a subcategory of Christianity and politics (which is neutral about whether Christian politics exists or not). In fact much of the current content of the category is about Christian politics. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:14, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Rename While many have argued there is a particularly Christian politics, they have argued for politics all across the board, so there is clearly not just one Christian politics.John Pack Lambert (talk) 06:49, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that there's not just one Christian politics is exactly why this is a category with multiple entries. Christian anarchism, Christian democracy, Christian libertarianism and Christian socialism should all be parented to Christian politics - not to Christianity and politics. Keep – I am not aware of there being a criteria for the minimum amount of articles to justify a category but distinguishing the categories into decades appears to make it easier to navigate rather than over populating the one category. Tanbircdq (talk) 16:00, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:WSS/P, stub categories should not be created until there is a significant number of articles (60+) that warrants a separate category. Diffusing overpopulated categories is helpful, but the stub tags should transclude the parent category, until the threshold for a separate stub category is met. Support merge to usual method of companies place in which they are based (rather than the more diffuse "from" concept which isn't very helpful to company categorisation). SFB22:50, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
