Nominator's rationale: Non-defining categories with arbitrary cut-off/inclusion criteria. WP:ARBITRARYCAT. These topics are better served by lists. Open to merging if deemed necessary via discussion, but I think blowing it up is a good option. Keep: nominator alleges WP:NONDEF, which is contradicted by, e.g., Jeanne Calment: "the oldest person ever whose age has been verified". Nominator also alleges WP:ARBITRARYCAT, but these categories involve the single most superlative individuals, with some variation for subclassing (oldest woman, oldest man) -- there's no cutoff age (this is not Category:Old age). fgnievinski (talk) 20:05, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll acknowledge that Category:Oldest people may be an exception to this nomination as the description states that it is people who were once the oldest living person.
