The result of the debate was delete, it's pretty clear. No need to continue the bloodbath. Defender 911 is also counselled not to recreate any "WikiResource" pages on the basis that there is clear consensus of established, experienced and uninvovled editors, both here and on current and previous versions of User talk:Defender 911, that they are a) generally-pointless, b) not in the interests of compiling an encyclopedia, c) promoting pointless and excessive bureaucracy, and d) redundant to normal, better-watched 'mainstream services'. Misguided play-acting. Picture this: Burnt out Wikipedian decides to quietly leave; harrassed user decides to retire... along come the Wikiresource Responsemen, horns blaring, telling them to 'pleeease return!' We are first and foremost volunteers; we have the right to become active or inactive in our own time. A violation of common courtesy to badger a retired user to return. Even requesting unprotection for a harrassed ex-admin's page, apparently to cajole him into returning to a place where he no longer feels safe. Delete. ~ Riana 19:40, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
