Useless page used by unauthorized IP bots. Test pages are OK, but using unauthorized bots to edit them are not. As that page will only be used for that purpose, I'm nominating it for deletion. TL22 (talk) 19:50, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, this page is used to test RESTBase - the software powering Wikipedia's REST API. Concretely, we use it to test its edit features and ensure they are compatible with the MediaWiki version installed on Wikipedia. Mobrovac-WMF (talk) 20:34, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- @ToonLucas22: RESTBase is part of the Wikimedia infrastructure that handles revision storage and caching. Having automated tests running on live wikis is a good way to ensure that everything's working as intended and surface any issues quickly and easily so that they can be fixed really fast. As this is a technical matter relating to site stability, I don't think an MfD is really going to accomplish anything. Also, deleting this page won't stop the automated tests, so it would just be recreated anyway, rendering this moot. Is there some specific issue that these automated tests are causing for you? --Dan Garry, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 22:09, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
