This redirect was created in 2013, when eager Star Wars fans believed that the copyright for the then-forthcoming Star Wars Rebels novel "A New Dawn" could have been Episode VII's eventual name. Aside from it being an inaccurate fan theory, it was never a common name or used in any official capacity. As this concerns what is now an old movie, I recommend this redirect be deleted. not mentioned in the target. results seem torn between it being a related term in some language (possibly to any member of the potoroidae family), a tpyo, or in the absolute worst case scenario, a pun (though on what, i can't tell) consarn (speak evil) (see evil) 20:21, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - It's a legitimate taxonomic tribe per [2]. However, it includes more than just the genus Potorous (which redirects to Potoroo. Delete or keep doesn't matter... I'll have time later today to write a stub to replace it. - UtherSRG (talk) 21:58, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Upgrading my comment to keep - UtherSRG (talk) 23:46, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I created this redirect; this tribe name is from the Mammal Diversity Database and seems to be a near-synonym for the genus Potorous. Also, why go through this procedure instead of my talk page to verify this? --Ellicrum (talk) 22:19, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
it's probably worth a mention, then, though i am admittedly a little iffy on putting it there if it only seems to be a near-synonym. gonna have to do some looking in a while consarn (speak evil) (see evil) 12:04, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In older classification schemes, it was definitely not synonymous. Now, however, all of the other genera have been moved out to other tribes or out of tribes altogether. - UtherSRG (talk) 23:39, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • I created this three years ago. I have no idea why now! I presume I did have a reason. Happy for it to be removed. Bondegezou (talk) 20:33, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Bondegezou based on the history, it was a redirect to a DAB page with the same name and slightly different capitalization. The DAB page was deleted and this orphaned redirect ended up being retargeted to a vaguely relevant destination. So although it no longer makes sense, it did have a function when you created it. Anonymous 21:21, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was disambiguate. (non-admin closure) Steel1943 (talk) 07:31, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete (though I'm unsure if that's the correct course of action). It first redirected to Future-Drama since Turb is a fictional drug very briefly mentioned once in that episode of The Simpsons. Subsequently redirected to Hot dog in what I am assuming is an act of vandalism. Its past Simpsons-related usage is barely significant. It's a made-up term used once in a throw-away line and never mentioned again. "turb" has some other minor usages (a person called (Toomas Turb, acronym for trans-urethral resection of bladder tumor, shortened form of turbulence) so I'm not entirely sure what to do with this redirect (delete? disambig? put it back to redirect to Future-Drama as it originally did? re-target?) Seems unlikely someone would use an ancient greek derived name for a group of people, especially when said group did not have an independent identity at that time. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 16:00, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pentapotamia redirects to Punjab. I added those redirects by analogy. I'm also not fully sure if that term is actually "Ancient Greek", rather than a modern calque. Pescavelho (talk) 16:21, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sources in Punjab do mention that the ancient Greeks called it that. Pentapotamia as a redirect is fine, as it refers to the region. Punjabi as an actual independent identity evolved more than a millennia after that. So these redirects do not make sense. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 16:28, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was refine to the Allegations and investigations section. Jay 💬 00:14, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target article, making the connection between the target and the redirect unclear. In addition, third party search engines seem to associate this phrase with Peanut the squirrel for some reason, but the redirect isn't mentioned in that article either. Steel1943 (talk) 20:40, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment. I'd assume it refers to the handling of Jimmy Carter's peanut farm while it was placed in a blind trust, but couldn't tell you for sure. – Closed Limelike Curves (talk) 21:36, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Refine to § Allegations and investigations, with a hatnote to Peanut the squirrel . The terms seems to be used by the media to refer to the investigations on Jimmy Carter's peanut farm. [3][4]
However, it is also used to describe the Peanut the squirrel incident. [5][6] Ca talk to me! 07:17, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. If this is suppose to refer to the handling of Jimmy Carter's peanut farm during his presidency, the redirect needs to redirect to the corresponding section in the article dealing with the subject, and one would think actually mention the term peanutgate if ever referred to as. Re-target to Tik Tok (song), the rationale is simply that, in a paper encyclopedia, If you search for Tik Tok in index it goes to Tik Tok, otherwise I would search for TikTok at the alphabetic order 'tikt'. I know the search isn't properly an index, but since there's not a paractical index, it should work as too. gtp (talk) 07:55, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete due to lack of mention combined with the unlikelihood that the mere existence of the redirect itself provides the information the searcher would be looking for, nor would it be a navigational aid to the target (which would be the only two reasons to keep a redirect without a mention to my understanding). "spectral" not mentioned anywhere in target. The exact phrase "spectral genetic analysis" seems rarely used; all hits but one are for something from the fictional show SuperFriends. Rusalkii (talk) 05:05, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target; this wording not used anywhere on the internet I can find. More a search term than a title. Rusalkii (talk) 05:02, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:RETURNTORED. I don't think this improves the situation at hand. The wording of the redirect is an issue altogether. – The Grid (talk) 14:17, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Delete per nom. "Kanye West's unrealized projects" almost certainly constitute an encyclopedic topic, and once the draft is mainspace-ready I think a descriptive title like that will be appropriate for them. However, while the draft is still under construction, not much is gained by having the title redirect to the main Kanye West article. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 16:27, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Changing to keep as the new mainspace article is a plausible destination. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 20:54, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Keep as the article has finally been finished and is now published as an article. I've worked on it in my sandbox. RTSthestardust (talk) 18:42, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
