editWhy can't Uber drivers find me?
editI live in Kyiv (that's how I like to spell it), Ukraine and use Uber quite a lot. Sometimes, even though my Uber app indicates that it is sharing my pick up ___location with the driver, the driver has difficulty finding me. (This becomes tricky when they call me because I don't speak Russian or Ukrainian.) Normally I can see that my blue dot on the app map is accurate, and the app tells me it is showing my ___location to the driver, so why doesn't the driver find me easily? Is the driver not getting my information even though the app says it's sharing it?
[Extra point of interest. I have read that fewer than one in two hundred people are deaf. I estimate that five per cent of Kyiv Uber drivers are deaf.]
