- Agree, seems better to just undelete the template locally than import. I imagine it would be useful for any cases where Commons doesn't want it there, but we want to use it on enwiki, especially given Somalia apparently
has no existing enforceable copyright law
according to the template, so there's likely at least a non-zero chance that an image could run afoul of Commons' PRP, but still be just fine here. EggRoll97 (talk) 08:15, 6 December 2024 (UTC)

Honestly, you should've written English content on the English Wikipedia. We'd need to import de:Massaker im Zuchthaus Stein and then import de:Benutzer:Eilhart von Oberg/Stein prison massacre to the same place. The problem is this edit to the former page; is it relevant to the translation? The English translation needs some work before it's ready for the article namespace and needs some thought on how it'd be integrated in to the English Wikipedia. - Not an importuploader, though I'm fairly more keen on importing pages to userspace for translation than others usually are (my view is that importing should not be considered an unusual procedure, and it should be fairly normalized). - b) yes, I am working on that;-), and there is a interest, because of course I do know him, but to my opinion not a conflict of interest, because he is more activ on the US market now (espcecially because of his Trump book) and that was the reason for the request

On hold Perhaps if User:Jayhalderman/sandbox was even somewhat ready for publishing I'd consider the import to the sandbox - however it is not. I'm going to put this on hold for now. - I think what xaosflux is referring to is that the version in your sandbox is completely unformatted, and would not be ready to be moved to the main namespace. The prose itself in the translated version also needs work, and there are no references attached. That said, it's not beyond fixing with some basic work, and I don't see any problems with importing the dewiki revisions once the sandbox draft is ready for a move to mainspace. - @Graham87: This is somewhat more of a difference in opinion than based on any solid rule, but I don't necessarily see the harm in this. The user requesting it has 88.8% authorship of the German Wikipedia version of the article, and while the attribution is sufficient with a link simply left in the history, I don't see any harm in moving the revisions across.
