- Evidence
The users edits are just malicious falsehoods to stir the poop, lie about sources, and just mess with Wikipedia users in general. The two IPs are in the Manhattan area just like Robert Sieger, aka Rms125a@hotmail.com. This user has been banned over fifty times for this kind of time wasting. This user move to multiple IPs. One of these IPs, 65.119.192.122, seems to be a company, VNU Inc., 100 Passaic Ave., Fairfield (Essex County), New Jersey, 07004 USA:
- RAbuseHandle: JC2523-ARIN
- RAbuseName: Cantillo Julio
- RAbusePhone: 1-646-654-5640
- RAbuseEmail: jcantillo@vnuinc.com
While the second one, 67.83.176.54, seems to either be Hicksville, New York, or Hackensack, New Jersey (HCKNNJ).
In addition, there are several suspected IP address in the 65.x and 67.x range that have been linked to similar edits: 67.100.52.10, 67.100.55.13, 67.100.52.97, 65.119.192.122, 65.88.88.200, 65.88.88.45, 65.88.88.55, 67.100.109.48, 67.101.192.188, 67.101.192.46, 67.101.192.69, 67.101.255.49, 67.101.28.220, 67.101.79.11, 67.101.79.13, 67.101.79.171

- Based on his lengthy past track record, temp bans on the IP are requested, if they won't cause much collateral. This one, 65.119.192.122, since it is a work IP, should be good, they should be working anyway and not disrupting Wikipedia. -- IP4240207xx (talk · contribs · logs) 01:35, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- IP4240207xx evidence is not only weak, it is demonstrably false. The two IPs are related, as they are my dynamically assigned home and work IPs from yesterday (meaning the next reboot will cause me to have new ones), but they are unrelated to any of the other IPs or emails, as alleged in the complaint. I have, in fact, never been banned from Wikipedia, as the complaint falsely claims. I am, in fact, not Robert Sieger nor is my email the one provided above. The complaint alleges a lie, but fails to provide details. The complaint alleges maliciousness, but fails to provide details. Indeed, true facts and true evidence are simply absent here. Naked allegations and spurious arguments harm Wikipedia and impede its mission. :It seems this effort to ban is born not from a desire to protect the integrity of Wikipedia, but to deny edits that do not support the complainant's bias. The edit in question was sourced, was neutral, and was a very cogent lead to an otherwise poorly written section of a decent article. If the sourcing does not meet the standard for Wikipedia, the lead can still stand alone as it clearly states the controversy and each element of the sentence is support by content with in the article. Of note, I am working on a re-write of the section that will be placed in the sandbox where it can judged on its merits. Based on the false and malicious allegations and the risk IP4240207xx exposed Wikipedia to by hoping to ban a wide range of IPs, temp ban of IP4240207xx is requested. -- 67.83.176.54 13:23, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- A day before IP4240207xx posted on 65.119.192.122's user page,[1] WikiDon posted on 65.119.192.122's user page.[2]. I requested WikiDon to comment in this SSP report. -- Jreferee t/c 22:16, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I was only providing info. When I see vandalism, I usually hit the "WHOIS", and many times I will post some of that information, just as an FYI for any ADMINs, or other users who come by after me. ~ WikiDon 22:55, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I reviewed 65.119.192.122's posts.
- I found 65.119.192.122's posts reasonable. Both WikiDon and IP4240207xx have been double teaming 65.119.192.122 to delete his John Wayne's talk page posts.[3][4][5]. 65.119.192.122 posted referenced material to the John Wayne article[6] using information from page 18 (note 13) of the cited source. WikiDon then stated that the cited reference had "NOTHING, what-so-ever, to do with the added material" and that 65.119.192.122 was lying.[7] 65.119.192.122 did not lie and the source supported the added material WikiDon then added off-Wikipedia personal information about 65.119.192.122 to 65.119.192.122's user page.[8] IP4240207xx and WikiDon double teamed again with a vandalism accusation,[9][10] although the matter only was a content dispute. -- Jreferee t/c 00:33, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I reviewed 67.83.176.54's posts.
- In response to WikiDon yelling and adding 67.83.176.54's,[11], 67.83.176.54 modified one of WikiDon's posts.[12]
- 68.250.255.50 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) added a misspelling of the word December to the John Wayne article.[13] After it was fixed, 67.83.176.54 reintroduced that same misspelling.[14] -- Jreferee t/c 00:33, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
- As a regular blocking admin, and as someone who's studied RMS' behaviour for years now, I can state with confidence that there is absolutely no connection I can discern here. Suggest go for close here, to be honest - Alison ❤ 18:19, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Now this account was RMS - blocked by me just now. I'm watching three other accounts. Robert almost always uses 216.19x.xx.xx, so that's almost always a giveaway - Alison ❤ 22:22, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- 65.119.192.122 and 67.83.176.54 were admitted by 67.83.176.54 as being alternate accounts.[15] -- Jreferee t/c 22:24, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I find no collusion between 65.119.192.122 and 67.83.176.54 to support each other's actions as sock/meat puppets. -- Jreferee t/c 00:33, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- The two IPs are probably alternates, but I agree with Alison that not alternates of RMS. — Rlevse • Talk • 23:59, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
