Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Visual arts|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Visual arts. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Delete per WP:TNT which is just an essay, not a policy or guideline but a good idea in this case. Reliability is a must for Wikipedia and LLMs are not reliable -- see WP:OR. Bad refs violate WP:V and may indicate potential bad faith (or cluelessness). Russell Frantom

This article has been tagged for years now, and I see no improvement. Coverage in the news is minimal--one little article from a Chicago-based affiliate about an exhibition in South Bend years ago, that's really all I found. Delete from a search, nothing except coverage for the school plot and some not reliable art sales listings. Not all of the coverage of the plot is local and it stretches on for a bit but it's not enough for event or person notability and lacked much consequence. Christin Lutze

This artist does not meet WP criteria for WP:GNG nor WP:NARTIST. There may be a conflict of interest involved. I had to remove promotional art selling websites three times that were being used as citations, and the creator kept adding them back; the COI template was also removed. Her German WP article is an autobiography. The sources are all connected to the artist (therefore non-independent), for example galleries where she has shown, her own website, an interview, etc. The collection that holds her work is a non-notable private collection. Visual artists do not have inherent notability; this one is simply doing what artists do, making paintings and trying to show and sell them, per WP:MILL. NHL team colors and logos

Delete. This is a blatant violation of WP:NFCC8, and complete failure of WP:LISTN and WP:LISTCRUFT. There are no independent reliable sources which justify having all NHL logo and colour changes in one list. Sportslogos.net and Sportslogohistory.com are fan sites which are not encyclopedic in purpose. Sources from the teams or league are not independent.
