- @Zanahary:
- It looks like the Bibliothèque nationale de France should have this: https://catalogue.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/cb34507783x
- If you aren't able to visit there in-person, they have a link to request a copy of it ("Reproduction sous conditions"), but you might have to get copyright permission from the copyright owner(s), and you'll probably have to pay a fee for the copying and/or usage. (I'm not familiar with the details of this; I'm just summarizing the information at the top of the form.)
- Alternatively, it looks like SOAS University of London also has this, with the article catalogued as a book: https://soas.on.worldcat.org/oclc/419466679

- Forgot to mention it here, but last week, I asked at User talk:Tom Morris#Book from a library in London, and they should hopefully be able to access the book soon.
- No chance for the ILL's, SOAS is not doing ILL requests, and the BnF has not responded, despite a follow up from my university. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 08:05, 5 August 2025 (UTC)

edit{{resolved}} I am trying to get a copy of this album review, both for myself as a potential GAN reviewer and for the nominator:
- Van Pelt, Doug (Sep/Oct 1997) "Album Review: Third Day - Conspiracy No. 5." HM Magazine. No. 67. ISSN 1066-6923. OCLC 56621413.
I don't have access to the page numbers. The article would be used for Conspiracy No. 5 and Talk:Conspiracy No. 5/GA1 (not yet started). It was previously requested in 2023 here, with no resolution. Thank you! Viriditas (talk) 23:47, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

- @Averageuntitleduser, sure. (Also CC'ing @ARandomName123 and @Viriditas). The NYPL requires me to provide page numbers in order to send an online scan request. Without page numbers, I have to go to the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts to scan this in person - it's not a big deal, since the library is close to me, but an online scan is more convenient for everyone involved.Viriditas, can you confirm that you've tried and failed to find page numbers for this source? Pages of the book "Others: Third Parties During the Great Depression" by Darcy G. Richardson related to the Farmer–Labor Party, Liberty Party, and John Zahnd
edit{{[[Template:Seems unpublished; no way to help. Averageuntitleduser (talk) 16:27, 17 August 2025 (UTC)|Seems unpublished; no way to help. Averageuntitleduser (talk) 16:27, 17 August 2025 (UTC)]]}}
- Richardson, Darcy (June 4, 2020). Others: Third Parties During the Great Depression. KDP/Amazon. p. 601. ISBN 979-8622695353.
For Frank Elbridge Webb, Liberty Party (United States, 1932), and a draft John Zahnd.
I have examined every archive I know of to the best of my ability, contacted the author of the only place I've found it quoted (had a response, they theorized it was either on Google Books or openlibrary.org), contacted the author (provided email, no response). Wherever it is, it may be just under "Other", the name of the series it is a part of. It is the only book in the series that I can't find. If you can find a place to purchase it, I'll take it.
Thanks, apologies if I messed up the formatting, 1brianm7 (talk) 00:48, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- Honestly, just proof that a copy of the book exists would be good enough for me. If somebody has it, don't worry about finding those specific pages, I'd just like to know that you do. 1brianm7 (talk) 02:25, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- His website suggests that it's the fifth book of the series. The ISBN might be wrong because there's no results on Worldcat. However, this is a self-published book. Therefore, I suggest not using this source. MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 02:34, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. I am/was interested in the book because the 4th book of the series had really bad SEO, and so I only uncovered it after spending a few months churning through newspaper articles from the 1920s. It had most of the information I had taken months to find and it was pretty good at citing its sources, so I was hoping that it could put me onto other secondary sources I hadn't found and save me a bunch of time. At this point I am not even certain the book has been published; its Amazon page says 2020 (but currently unavailable), his website says it will come out later this year, and it was also quoted in a single web page in 2023. 1brianm7 (talk) 03:08, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- There is a possibility that it was scheduled to be released but it got delayed. Since it was self-published on amazon, perhaps the author removed the book from the website. In either case, I think you'll need to look for different sources as you could not get a reply from the author. MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 03:39, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've been looking into other options. I am getting access to a bunch of sources on August 13th and I'm currently in contact with the University of Arkansas to see if some of their material can be digitized. And I'm of course still trawling through newspaper articles from the 1930s.
- I can be confident that the second I no longer want the book it will become a bestseller known nationwide. 1brianm7 (talk) 04:06, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- @1brianm7: at least for now, I don't think this book is accessible anywhere, so I suggest we mark it resolved. I can't find it indexed anywhere besides Amazon, or as you have described, mentioned outside of the Mob Museum and his website. Maybe his website previously said that the book would release this year, but right now, he just seems to list it among his unpublished books.
- If it becomes accessible later, you could request it again, but I think you should only use it to try to find other sources. Richardson's first book in the series is cited a good number of times on Google Scholar (and received a good review from a history professor for Choice), but he only self-publishes and the guidance given by WP:SPS is strict. I think he should only be used if he could be shown to have an extraordinary influence in the field of third parties, which I just don't see yet. The Baltimore Sun
edit{{resolved}} An anon editor left this vague reference:
- "Oct. 1950 article The Baltimore Sun"
The Sun article might include some of these keywords:
- Irvington
- Schwartze
- Ditty (Cyrus Irving Ditty aka C. I. Ditty)
- Loudon Park
This is all I know. It potentially could be useful in multiple articles Irvington, Baltimore, Loudon Park Cemetery and Schwartze Mansion. Thanks, — GreenC 05:58, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- @GreenC: Newspapers.com has the October 1950 issues of The Baltimore Sun. Here are the number of hits for each of the keywords you supplied:
- Irvington: 128
- Schwartze: 0
- Ditty: 3 (two of them are about songs and the third is about Rudyard Kipling)
- "Loudon Park": 35
- "Loudon Park" + Irvington: 11 (these are all funeral notices)
- Can you refine you search parameters further? —Bruce1eetalk 08:45, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- Bruce1ee: Schwartze and Ditty are the two most important key terms (in combo with Irvington). Was hoping there could be a feature. I've applied and been accepted for Newspapers.com but it will be a few more weeks to receive credentials. I can wait to trawl through and see if there is anything valuable, probably the anon editor used something trivial like a funeral notice about a different character. Thanks for your help. -- GreenC 15:38, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- Bruce1ee, I got a newspapers.com subscription today, and was able to find the feature article. It was in "The Evening Sun" October 17, 1950. It was a Baltimore Sun newspaper, but newspapers.com cataloged it under the different title. Lesson learned I think is search by city or state instead of newspaper title, at least for some newspapers. They had so many subscribers they could have multiple papers. Those were the days. Now in Irvington, Baltimore. -- GreenC 05:14, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

- @Grumpylawnchair: I tried requesting the TOC + index through ILL, but it seems to only have a TOC. Since I don't physically have the book, I can't search through it for mentions, but would the TOC help? ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 07:17, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

- @ARandomName123: I'm sorry, but I can't give you the page range. The ToC is hilariously vague and the information could be in any of the sections. The bibliography also doesn't give me page numbers on which the info was used, so that's not helping either. Grumpylawnchair (talk) 19:21, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- That's unfortunate. My library actually does hold it, but it's currently "In process for shelving at Downsview" (our high-density book storage site). Probably going to be a few months until it's available again. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 19:38, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

- @Averageuntitleduser: As I mentioned, I only have access to the 2007 edition. If that is fine by @Grumpylawnchair, I can see what mentions are in the book. If the 2021 version is preferred, then you can do an ILL. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 16:38, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

- Either version is fine. Grumpylawnchair (talk) 18:05, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- In that case, I can get this in a week or two. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 22:56, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Grumpylawnchair: Do you have any information that can help narrow down the page ranges? I'm looking through the book right now. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 16:14, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

editArticle by Paul Cauchon in Micro Mag (French computing magazine)
edit{{Resolved}}
- Cauchon, Paul (December 1984). "Mimi: Une entrevue avec Anne Bergeron". Micro Mag (in French). 1 (2). France: 42–45.
I am working on an article about computer scientist and game designer Anne Bergeron. I'd like a copy of the above article, which appeared in 1984 in a French computing magazine named Micro Mag, Micro-Mag, Micro Magazine, or Micro-Magazine. There were at least a couple different magazines with those names, including one with ISSN 2112-7093 and one with ISSN 0760-5773; I'm not sure which ISSN, if either, is the right one. This Micro Mag archived by The Internet Archive can't be the one I need because its first issue was published in 1989. Probably this Micro Magazine shown on Premiers numéros is the right publication, since its first issue has a cover date of September 1983. The contents page indicates that the publisher was François Potier (now a novelist, apparently) and the distributor was Sitelle conseil of 32 rue Washington, 75008 Paris. I suspect that the article's author, Paul Cauchon, is the Canadian journalist who recently retired from Le Devoir.
I've already tried document requests at one Canadian and one French university but neither of them were able to find the article, either locally or in their wider library networks. I also can't find any scans of any issues of the magazine online (except, as noted above, for a few pages from the first issue on Premiers numéros). Can anyone here get me a copy of the article through their library? Or perhaps someone can send me an e-mail address for François Potier or Paul Cauchon, who might also have copies? (Both of them have LinkedIn accounts but I can't send them messages without subscribing to their premium service.) —Psychonaut (talk) 20:59, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Psychonaut: Doing... Pretty sure this is a Quebec magazine, not one from France (both speak French). ISSN 0825-9100 is listed in the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec as "Micro mag", with a timeline of
Vol. 1, No. 1 (Nov. 1984)-Vol. 2, No. 1 (Dec. 1985/Jan. 1986)
, which matches up with the December 1984 dating of Vol. 1 No. 2 better than if it started from September 1983. Also makes sense since Paul Cauchon is from Quebec, and the one citation I found to it is from a Canadian journal on Quebec video games. Requested an ILL to either BAnQ or Library and Archives Canada, we'll see how it goes. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 00:29, 19 August 2025 (UTC)- @ARandomName123:: I suppose you are right. I (probably wrongly) assumed that the magazine was French because the only two ISSNs I found associated with its title listed the country as France. I see now that the one you found, 0825-9100, is also in the ISSN Portal, so I have no idea why I didn't notice it there before. Thanks for checking if you can get a copy. —Psychonaut (talk) 01:32, 19 August 2025 (UTC)

edit{{resolved}} Hi--does anyone have access to/a copy of Handbook of Research on Children's and Young Adult Literature (2011) (Routledge: 2011; ISBN 9781136913570)? I need ch. 13, "History of Children's and Young Adult Literature", pages 179-94... Thanks, Drmies (talk) 14:43, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
