The FART encyclopedia, really?

edit

There is some rather surprising information in this guide. For example, is WikiBUTTia, the FART encyclopedia really one of Moneytrees's alternative accounts? I think I may have to reconsider my support for them in the election. Too vulgar. Bishonen | tålk 10:51, 4 December 2022 (UTC).Reply

@Bishonen according to their candidate statement (Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2022/Candidates/Moneytrees/Statement), yes. That account has no edits, including deleted or suppressed. — xaosflux Talk 12:16, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wow. I'll admit I have some dodgy socks myself, but.. anyway, hey, maybe Bishzilla will go welcome the little Wikibuttia. Socks must stick together! Bishonen | tålk 12:52, 4 December 2022 (UTC).Reply
Little sock is a little coarse! [Bishzilla herself always speak polite.] But OK, always friendly. Done. bishzilla ROARR!! pocket 13:00, 4 December 2022 (UTC).Reply
Bishonen, but.. you mean the embarrassing joke alternate account that is a bottom of the barrel fart joke isn't funny???
Since it's being asked about here, however seriously, I might as talk about it. When I created the account in summer 2019, I was under the impression that it would be ok to create as a "humor account" under the provision at Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry#Legitimate_uses. What I didn't take into account was that the accounts listed there were parodies of sorts and created by established users, and none of them were nearly as stupid as what I was doing. I don't think I was ever planning on editing from the alt, my goal was to list it on my userpage as an alt as a visual gag of sorts (like, "whaaaat? He has an alt named THAT?"). Of course, the younger Money wasn't thinking about the short-term or long-term consequences of doing something so silly; becoming an Arb, or even an Admin, wasn't even something I cared about at the time. Once I figured out that I'd be running for Arbcom, I knew I'd have to disclose the account in my statement and that it would be a big mea culpa for my candidacy. Could I take the potential ridicule? Ultimately, I decided I couldn't let such a silly mistake hold me back from running, because I don't think people should be afraid of their past mistakes like that. Sometimes, you need to touch a hot stove to learn that you shouldn't touch hot stoves; I learned to be more serious about the site and realized my presence here has a lot more value than I was giving it. @Moneytrees: ("but.."? Don't you mean "butt.."?) You think that's embarrassing, what about being welcomed by Bishzilla? She's a bit disappointed the little sock hasn't replied, you know. It's got talkpage access all right. Bishonen | tålk 10:59, 5 December 2022 (UTC).Reply
@Bishonen No, being welcomed by Bishzilla is among the highest honors and editor can receive. Unfortunately, Buttia has passed, and won't be able to respond; the account is locked, and it's not something worth bugging the stewards over. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 15:52, 5 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
