- Given your real name was linked to your username (the current one) in the UK's second-best selling newspaper (and about the fourth best-selling English-language newspaper in the world), isn't this point rather moot? Especially as said article remains online GTD 00:51, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

- The candidate asked "How likely is it that an editor whose identity is known and has some degree of prominence, will, if given additional tools, then misuse them?" in his nomination statement (diff). After having used undisclosed alternate accounts and gotten into so much trouble because of it, the claim of openness on the one hand is contradicted by attempting concealment on the other, and in the midst of RfA proceedings dominated by concerns about precisely that.
- I knew nothing about any of the dbiv/fys/blacketer controversies before seeing this RfA. My question arose about 10 minutes into reading it and following the SB controversy AfD links to an associated AfD and related news articles. — Athaenara ✉ 02:14, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
