Wikipedia talk:Requests for checkuser/Case/Unsorted results

Since requests posted here are sent to /Case, which creates a permanent record, do we really need to make a separate archive here (i.e., copy completed tasks to an archive page when we make the subpage) or can we just blank the request and let the page history be our archive, like WP:AIV? Blanking is fine; they're being archived, so no need for archives here. Also, a point that comes up: Clerks are by default trusted within the checkuser system, being given responsibilities like refactoring discussions and archiving results. As such, there is no need for them to provide diffs proving the result, though it might be helpful to have on /Case. Essjay (Talk) 20:20, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I actually don't mind providing a diff (although I haven't in the umpteen dozen cases I created from the old archives).
