Non-attributed translations

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from es:Ayuntamiento de Valencia to Ayuntamiento of Valencia. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. C F A 16:19, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Valencia Government Buildings

A tag has been placed on Category:Valencia Government Buildings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Ayuntamiento of Valencia moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Ayuntamiento of Valencia. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:24, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Government Buildings in Valencia

A tag has been placed on Category:Government Buildings in Valencia indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. plicit 23:29, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

@Explicit, thank you for your work. I’ve repaired the empty problem, but I cannot remove the tag. Please remove the delete tag.
Also, as an unrelated note, thank you for your work on the Anglophone blindness that acts as if all sources are available in English translation. I haven’t had an article deleted for this, but I’ve published with few or no English language sources. Literarytech lo dijo. (talk) 08:40, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

Unblock Dedicated NordVPN IP

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

LiteraryTech (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am seeking to have 195.206.167.240 unblocked. I have leased this dedicated IP from NordVPN precisely so that I can edit pages while connected to my VPN. I have checked, and there have never been edits from this IP address. Literarytech lo dijo. (talk)

Decline reason:

It is generally not permitted to edit via a VPN. We don't unblock IPs that are assigned to VPNs. If you have a specific need to use a VPN(beyond a general interest in privacy, such as living in a country that restricts access to Wikipedia) you may ask a checkuser for an IP block exemption for your account, see WP:IPECPROXY. 331dot (talk) 09:14, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This doesn't seem completely reasonable since the IP address in question is completely dedicated to me, but I have found a work-around using the NordVPN browser extension for Edge browser as that tool has an exception function to move all wikipedia domains out of the VPN. I leave this note in case anyone else stumbles across this. ˜˜˜Literarytech lo dijo. (talk)
