The Electoral Compass is a website developed to give users insight in their political preferences. On Tuesday 23 October 2007 Electoral Compass was officially established[1] at the VU University of Amsterdam.
According to their own website, Electoral Compass helps people make more responsible choices:
"Members of the general public are confronted with increasingly complex choices. It is not always clear to them which choice fits best with their own preferences. Electoral Compass helps people make more responsible choices. Based on scientifically approved methods, Kieskompas develops web applications in order to make choices simpler and transparent, both to voters and consumers.
Applications of Electoral Compass provide users with clarity in complex decision-making processes, while also allowing them to make thorough analyses of their options. The applications are always fully transparent. It should be totally clear to users what their best choice is and on what this is based. Furthermore, Kieskompas produces analyses of users’ opinions and preferences. These analyses provide valuable information for companies and organizations, which can be used to improve the quality of their products or policy-making."[2]
Electoral Compass does not give advice on voting, but enables voters to determine their position in the political landscape on the basis of position statements on themes. It shows people their political position graphically in a spectrum.
"Together with the VU University of Amsterdam, the Dutch national daily newspaper Trouw[5] has launched Electoral Compass as an alternative to the popular Stemwijzer voting advice service. Electoral Compass differs from the Stemwijzer because it does not give advice on voting, but enables voters to determine their position in the political landscape on the basis of position statements on themes. The website was launched four weeks before the elections and proved to be an instant success with 3 million visitors and 1.7 positions determined. The collected data were analyzed and formed the basis for a series of articles in Trouw concerning prognoses regarding voter behaviour. The emphasis now no longer lay on the political rat race, but on providing insight into the political position of the voter. Electoral Compass serves a public interest and had a great impact prior to the elections. The website is based on the principle of interactivity and provides a substantial amount of information at different levels. Furthermore, the data generated provided material for interesting reports and analyses in the newspaper: a stimulating form of interaction between media. Electoral Compass could form a permanent tool for members of the public who wish to assess their political preference on the basis of issues."
On May 11 2007 Electoral Compass presented an website for the Belgian general election, 2007 together with the Belgian newspapers 'De Standaard'[6] and 'Het Nieuwsblad'.
On February 7 2008 an electoral compass was developed for the Works Council VU University Amsterdam. Employees of the VU University Amsterdam used this compass to determine which candidate for the Works Council fitted their preferences best.
Together with publisher 'Wolters-Noordhoff' the Educational Compass was developed. It helps pupils and younger people to explore their position in the political landscape.
On January 2 2008 electoral compass USA was launched. This website is designed especially for the 2008 presidential elections and was created in collaboration with Dutch Newspapers and The Wall Street Journal[7]. Over 2,5 million visitors (80% from the United States) used Electoral Compass USA to discover their position in the political landscape.

Declined. This suggestion doesn't sufficiently explain the importance or significance of the subject. See the speedy deletion criteria (A7) and/or guidelines on notability. Please provide more information on why the subject is worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. Thank you. There are multiple issues here. Many of the sources provided are non-English, which would usually fall into the non-verifiable category. Even tho they are not in English, they are simply catalogs for a band named "Scapegoat". For those sources which are in English, they are about a band, for which this person is a member of, but are not about the person himself. For the individual artist involved, he, not the band, would need to meet guidelines of WP:MUSIC}}Yngvarr(c)16:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rick Greenspan is the Athletic Director at Indiana University. He arrived at IU in 2004 after successful stints as the Athletic Director of West Point and Illinois State. During his time at IU, he hired head football coach Terry Hoepner, and head basketball coach Kelvin Sampson. Coach Hep had great success before his untimely death. Sampson also had great success but came under fire for recuiting violations; his contract was eventually bought out. Many people have called for the firing of Greenspan along with Sampson, as Greenspan was instrumental in hiring Sampson, a coach already under NCAA sanctions, but as of now Greenspan is still IU's AD.

The Anstice Brigade is an organized group of gamers who primarily play the videogame Halo 3. Often reffered to as a "clan", the group mimicks the Marine Corps from Halo 3, incorporating ranks and a military organzation to estalish leaders and senior members, as well as fictional elements created by the clan itself.
To join, one must have:
1. An Xbox Live account.
2. An Xbox 360
3. A copy of Halo 3.
From there, you are required to pass a basic test in order to be a full fledged member, conducted by appointed trainee staff. After that, other tests and 'schools' are offered if a trainee wishes to advance in rank or hold a higher postition.
The Anstice Brigade is organized into Battalions, wich are then subdivided into companies, platoons, and squads (not including the SP-IV Razgriz Special Operations Battalion).
The 20th Marine Battalion is where a trainee is first placed after initial joining. After taking Basic Training and Helljumper School, one has the decision to stay as a 'Marine', or be placed in an ODST Battalion.
The 502nd ODST Battalion was the first ODST battalion in the brigade. The 502nd only accepts top recruits, and makes up the bulk of the Anstice Brigade.
The 101st ODST Battalion started out as an individual clan, but at the the decision of (at the time) Major kokiri and Captain Spartan 472, the 101st was assimilated into the Brigade as an ODST battalion, and is currently filling out it's ranks.
The Razgriz Spec-Ops Battalion (also known as the 'Spartan IV's', are the elite of the Brigade. Through a rigourous series of tests designed to discourage all but the best, the Spartan IV's are known to pull astonshing wins out of what almost seemed to be crushing defeat.
